CGACS Governance
The Church of God Association of Christian Schools is governed by an Executive Director, appointed by the State Administrative Bishop for the Churches of God in Florida, and a Board of Directors. Five of the board members are appointed by the State Administrative Bishop. Five additional board members are elected by their peers during the annual association meeting. Appointed board members serve two year terms and can be reappointed indefinitely. Elected members serve a two-year term and can be reelected to a second term.

Bishop Thomas Odom has served as the chief administrator of Light Christian Academy since the school’s formation. In addition to his work with Light Christian Academy, Bishop Odom was also appointed as Executive Director of Church of God Association of Christian Schools in November 2017. In addition to his ministerial ordination, Bishop Odom has a Bachelors of Science from Lee University. Bishop Odom can be reached via email at director@cgacs.org.
