CGACS Governance
The Church of God Association of Christian Schools is governed by an Executive Director, appointed by the State Administrative Bishop for the Churches of God in Florida, and a Board of Directors. Five of the board members are appointed by the State Administrative Bishop. Five additional board members are elected by their peers during the annual association meeting. Appointed board members serve two year terms and can be reappointed indefinitely. Elected members serve a two-year term and can be reelected to a second term.

Bishop Thomas Odom was appointed as the CGACS Executive Director in November 2017. He is a graduate of Lee University and is an Ordained Bishop with Church of God (Cleveland, TN). Before moving into state administrative work for the denomination, Bishop Thomas Odom served as Lead Pastor of Ocoee Church of God and Chief Administrator/Superintendent of Light Christian Academy and Lil’ Lights Preschool. He and his wife, Wendy, have been married for more than 25 years and have three adult children: Cherith (Colten), Titus (Michaelyn), and Meariah; and two grandchildren: Trace and Clara Kate.
